Dear Age is a Stagers

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Theatre Royal Brighton for the next season of Age is a Stage sessions, they are a highlight of our week as we love hearing the laughter that echoes around the building!

I am so delighted with the success of Age is a Stage – I have worked with Chris for many years and have the utmost respect for his skills, expertise and passion, we are so lucky to have him leading this important and impactful part of our Creative Learning programme. I am also delighted that this term he has decided to focus on the art of clowning and the clown inside us all – Chris is the consummate clown and it will be an honour to be taught by him!

Thank you for your patience over the last year as the building work progressed, it hasn’t been easy for anyone working in or using the theatre but at last it has come to an end and we now have a beautifully restored frontage and full redecoration throughout along with many other improvements that won’t be seen by the public but which ensure the safety and continual development of the building. Our aim is for Age is a Stage sessions to take place on stage but sometimes this is just not possible – the decision lies with the company on stage each week as the set and stage are theirs while they are in residence, and when there is no show our tech team often need the space for essential maintenance.

As ATG Entertainment continue to grow and develop our fabulous Creative Learning programmes in venues across the UK we are refining and improving our risk, health & safety and safeguarding procedures. As part of this we now require all participants to fill out a registration form, don’t worry you only need to fill it out once a term not each time you come! Here is a link to the form and I would be grateful if you could fill it out before attending your first session: https://forms.office.com/e/9gxGx37yYx. We will also have copies that can be filled in at the Theatre.

With very best wishes
Jackie
